Welcome to the grand opening of 2 Pillar Studios, our very own web store dedicated to custom making pens of the highest quality. We are thrilled to finally be sharing our passion for pen making with the world and cannot wait to see where this journey takes us.
For those of you who we haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, we are a veteran husband and wife (Joshua and Miranda) team trying out the world of online business ownership. The 2 Pillar brand name is inspired from the history of God leading the Israelites through the desert with two pillars, a pillar of smoke in the day and a pillar of fire by night. We chose this imagery as our brand because throughout our marriage, time in the military, and life after we have always been committed to going where the Lord leads us. It has lead us on a lot of wild adventures, and maybe more than our fair share of wandering in the wilderness, but throughout the journey, we have always been reminded that He will never leave us or forsake us. And so now as we continue to follow His leading into this new exciting chapter we're so happy to have you join us.
Starting a new business is never easy. Even something as simple as writing a post about the grand opening somehow gets delayed and almost forgotten lol. But here we are and it's something we truly feel called to. There is a lot that goes into - or can go into - it that we never even dreamed of. Everything from the fun and creative parts like designing new creations, and turning exotic woods, and materials to reveal the hidden figures within, to the less exciting parts like building a website, and tracking inventory....or even (uuuugggg) going to post office to ship boxes. But regardless of the task needed we believe that everyone deserves to have a pen that feels good in their hand, writes beautifully, and is unique to them.
When it comes to our pens, we take great pride in our process. Every pen is meticulously, custom crafted by hand, ensuring that each one is as unique as the person who will use it. We use only the finest materials and work with precision and care to bring our pens to life. It is always a joy to see the finished product and know that we have created something special for you to own or give as a gift. Our love of pen making actually began 5 years ago in Vicenza, Italy!!! While stationed there with the Army, Joshua had the opportunity to be apprenticed in the skill from some kind, older craftsmen at the local workshop. Imagine Steven Strange's journey to Kamer Taj to learn from the ancient one in the Dr. Strange movie (minus the soul leaving his body stuff lol). This instruction developed into a passion for us as we began to play with the craft and learn about the world of custom pen design. We are eager to share what we have learned with you.
As we look to the future, we are excited to continue expanding our range of products and sharing our love for pens with even more people. We have big plans for the future of 2 Pillar Studios and cannot wait to see where this adventure takes us.
